Terms of Service

Welcome to Chopz (“Chopz”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Chopz website, mobile services, merchant platform, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using Chopz, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

 

1. About Chopz

Chopz is a digital loyalty platform that enables merchants to create digital stamp cards and reward campaigns, and allows customers to collect stamps and redeem rewards from participating merchants.

Chopz also provides a public discovery marketplace where users may browse participating merchants and available reward campaigns.

Chopz acts only as a technology platform connecting merchants and customers. We do not own, produce, or sell any merchant products or services.

 

2. Eligibility

To use Chopz, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental permission.
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Use the platform in compliance with applicable laws.


If you create an account on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.

 

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information.
  • Keep your login credentials secure.
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account.


Chopz reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Provide false information
  • Violate these Terms
  • Abuse or misuse the platform


4. Merchant Accounts

Merchants may register to create loyalty campaigns and manage customer interactions through the Chopz platform.

Merchants agree that they are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of their store information
  • Reward terms and conditions
  • Products or services offered to customers
  • Fulfillment of any rewards promised


Chopz is not responsible for merchant transactions, products, or services.


5. Digital Stamps and Rewards

Digital stamps (“Chopz”) may be issued by merchants to customers as part of loyalty campaigns.

Important notes:

  • Stamps are issued and managed by the merchant, not by Chopz.
  • Rewards are redeemed directly with the merchant.
  • Merchants determine reward conditions, expiry dates, and redemption rules.
  • Chopz does not guarantee the availability of any merchant reward.


If a merchant closes their business or cancels a campaign, stamps and rewards may no longer be redeemable.

6. Marketplace Listing

Merchants may choose to list their store on the Chopz marketplace.

When listed:

  • Store information becomes publicly visible
  • Rewards and campaigns may be visible to users
  • Users may discover the store via the discovery page


Chopz does not guarantee visibility or traffic to any merchant listing.


7. Referrals

Chopz may provide referral programs that allow users to invite friends to join the platform.

Chopz reserves the right to:

  • Modify referral rewards
  • Cancel referral programs
  • Remove fraudulent or abusive referral activities


Any attempt to manipulate referral systems may result in account suspension.


8. Subscription and Payments

Some features of Chopz may require a paid subscription (e.g., merchant premium plans).

By subscribing:

  • You agree to pay all applicable fees.
  • Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers (such as Stripe).
  • Subscription fees may be billed monthly or annually.


Chopz reserves the right to change pricing with prior notice.

Failure to pay subscription fees may result in suspension of merchant features.


9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Chopz to:

  • Commit fraud or deceptive practices
  • Manipulate loyalty rewards
  • Access accounts without authorization
  • Upload malicious software
  • Abuse, harass, or harm other users


Chopz reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.


10. Intellectual Property

All Chopz software, branding, logos, and platform features are owned by Chopz.

You may not:

  • Copy
  • Modify
  • Reverse engineer
  • Redistribute


any part of the platform without written permission.

Merchants retain ownership of their store content, including logos, descriptions, and promotional materials.


11. Third-Party Services

Chopz may integrate third-party services such as:

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe)
  • Location services (geolocation APIs)
  • Authentication providers


Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

Chopz is not responsible for third-party services.


12. Platform Availability

We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Chopz may:

  • Perform maintenance
  • Update the platform
  • Temporarily suspend access


without prior notice.


13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Chopz shall not be liable for:

  • Merchant disputes
  • Loss of rewards
  • Business losses


Indirect or consequential damages

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

 

14. Termination

Chopz may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You misuse the platform
  • You engage in fraudulent activity


You may stop using the service at any time.

Certain provisions of these Terms will survive termination.


15. Fraud Prevention and Abuse

Chopz reserves the right to monitor activity on the platform to prevent fraud, abuse, or manipulation of loyalty campaigns.

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Creating fake accounts to obtain rewards

  • Manipulating referral programs

  • Attempting to generate fraudulent stamps or rewards

  • Exploiting system errors or bugs

  • Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform

  • Coordinating with merchants or customers to artificially generate stamp activity

If suspicious or fraudulent activity is detected, Chopz may:

  • Suspend or terminate the account

  • Remove fraudulently obtained stamps or rewards

  • Restrict access to certain platform features

  • Investigate and report the activity if required by law

Chopz’s decision regarding fraudulent activity is final.


16. Merchant Responsibility for Rewards

Merchants are fully responsible for the rewards, promotions, and campaigns they offer on the Chopz platform.

By creating a campaign, merchants agree that:

  • All rewards must be honored according to the published campaign rules.

  • Reward descriptions must be accurate and not misleading.

  • Merchants must have the ability and capacity to fulfill the rewards offered.

Chopz does not guarantee the availability or quality of merchant rewards.

Any disputes related to:

  • reward redemption

  • product quality

  • service quality

  • pricing

  • merchant policies

must be resolved directly between the merchant and the customer.

Chopz acts only as a technology platform and is not a party to merchant transactions.


17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

When changes occur:

  • The updated version will be posted on this page
  • Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated Terms


18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.
